A beautifully restored circa 1703 award winning working Post Windmill, within the South Downs National Park in the heart of the glorious Sussex countryside, and another great venue for 'Mills on the Air'. It's the first time MSARS will be operating from Oldland Mill, so come and support the event if you can.

The mill is located in between Keymer and Ditchling, just south of Burgess Hill. The address is Oldlands Lane, Hassocks, BN6 8ND.

There is no parking at the mill, but it’s a pleasant 15 minute stroll up from the eastern end of Grand Avenue, at the junction with Ockley Lane with parking near the Thatched Inn Pub.

New to the hobby, or to 'Mills Weekend'? Like many of the other 'On The Air' event series, this one is for local operators to temporarily occupy some special places and have a good old-fashioned radio session. Mills weekend is NOT a competition as such, just a good time and the chance to promote Amateur Radio while helping to preserve some of our heritage.

Various clubs, teams or groups of amateurs will approach their local windmill or watermill owners and societies to celebrate both our history and our communities - usually during the second weekend in May each year.
