Another month and a short reminder of a late friend and club member.
On my way home from a Chemo session, I noticed a brand new all-electric Brighton & Hove bus with the name 'Reg Moores' on the front. I bet Reg would have invented the electric bus if he was to have been with us today. That would have joined the radio microphone and spectrometers among many other items he invented.
None were patented and therefore became widely used, including the suitcase on wheels! So if you go to Brighton, look out for the blue coloured bus 611 and remember Reg, G3GZT.
Now to radio matters. August is traditionally a quiet month and this one was one of those. My DXCC count only rose by 2 - ZL4TT for OC-134 South Island and RI1FJL for EU-019 Frans Joseph Island. My count is now 205, with very few new ones appearing on the logger screen.
There are still many stations I have not worked, so I'm still busy especially in the evenings.
