UPDATE

I would like to advise that thanks to the Sussex Miniature Locomotive Society (Beech Hurst Railway owners) I have been allowed the use of the railway car park for this event. Special thanks to long term member of both the SMLS and MSARS Chris G4ZCS for organising this for me. The railway car park and workshops are located on the western edge of the park and are easy to find.

Just a quick heads-up for everybody...

This is NOT an official MSARS event, so the usual caveats apply regarding insurance etc. (i.e. there won't be any) but I will be operating a ROTA station from Beech Hurst Gardens to celebrate the Beech Hurst Miniature Railway in Haywards Heath on Sunday 28th September. Sadly, this year the railway will not be running that weekend (unlike last year) but at least the car park will be less busy!

Here is what AI thinks is an acceptable response to my repeated prompting to generate an image for this post. I gave up in the end, but still think it's amusing. The junior engine-driver is not real by the way, before anyone comes at me with the ridiculous Online Safety Act.

Not sure where I'll be set up exactly, but if the weather is fair, then probably on the bench in the top corner of the big activities field, however if it's raining cats & dogs, I may try and claim squatters rights over the white wooden shelter by the tennis courts.

If you fancy joining me in person or on-air, then you are more than welcome. I'll be using the SES callsign GB0BHR. I'll probably camp-out on or about the stated event frequencies of 7.15MHz and 14.25MHz. Of course I'll probably have a play on 7.074 and 14.074 too, especially if the bands are dead.

I won't be seriously trying to fill up the logbook, but I'll be having a bit of fun from 11:00am 'till 3:00pm (there is a four-hour parking restriction unfortunately).
